One year - 12 months...52 weeks...365 days...8,760 hours or even 525,600 minutes! Anyway you say it, Blayke's first year has flown by. We celebrated her first Birthday Saturday May 30, 2009 with friends, family, nachos, cake, and COTTON CANDY!!!
Nana and Papa were gracious enough to allow us to dirty up their house instead of ours since our house would have been pretty tight. The floor underneath Blayke's chair, where she ate her cake, may never be the same (see picture above)! It was a perfect day and fun was had by all. As it turns out Jason has a future as a "carnie" making cotton candy. We all gave it a shot and ate more pure sugar than anyone would care to admit. Blayke single handedly put down most of a cake that could have fed four adults easily...yikes!
We consider ourselves blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to share special occasions like these. Blayke got boat loads of presents and was worn out by the end of the day. Thanks to everyone who came; and some who didn't and sent her a gift anyway!!! You made it a great day that we'll remember forever...even if she doesn't.
